About Arno Schuitemaker
Re-approaching performance art and dance, Arno Schuitemaker creates works one has to experience. He is one of the most exciting artists of his generation in The Netherlands.
Through a strong integration of ongoing, evolving movement with electronic music and impressive lighting designs, his interdisciplinary performances stretch and alter the way we perceive time and space. Each in their own way, they transform into embodied meditations on life, and reflect the depths of our existence.
In October 2019, The Way You Sound Tonight, his most recent work, won the award of most impressive dance production by the VSCD—the Oscar of Dutch dance. The performance premiered at the Holland Festival in Amsterdam in June 2018 and was called "one of the highlights of the festival" by Cultuurpers.
